Report on TitanFile Service Disruption on June 9th, 2021

Summary of Impact:

Between 6:50am ET to 9:04am ET, Canadian customers may have experienced a service disruption on TitanFile, preventing access to the platform. This only impacted Canadian customers on https://app.titanfile.com

Preliminary Root Cause:

One of the resources providing TitanFile’s file storage service experienced an infrastructure hardware failure on the Azure platform.

Mitigation:

Azure’s automatic recovery failed and our engineers engaged in assessing the problem. After several failed attempts due to Azure internal system errors, we successfully recovered from the failed state at 9:04 am ET. The TitanFile app was back online at 9:12am ET.
