ILTACON 2015 went off with a bang in none other than Las Vegas! And this year the focus was on humans. For anyone who missed the conference’s 200+ educational sessions can download the material here
This fall has been absolutely full of legal events and we are only one month in. TitanFile had the privilege to exhibit at ILTACON 2015. Our candy bar wasn’t the only attraction at the booth! Experts from TitanFile, joined by our security partners from Hitachi Solutions, were on site demonstrating our recently launched zero-knowledge client-side encryption and advising attendees on secure collaboration practices.
ILTACON is a four-day educational event that draws on the personal and collective strengths of professionals working in technology within law firms and legal departments. As a side note – have you ever noticed how ILTA hosts their events in the best destinations? Nashville, Bahamas…Check out the show space for this year:
This year we were pleased to see such a focus on customer service. At the beginning of the month, The International Legal Technology Association released this year’s Technology Purchasing Survey and it seems that an overwhelming majority of ILTA firms are recognizing vendors that make extraordinary customer service a priority.
These same sentiments were mirrored at this year’s ILTA conference. This year a major topic was exploring the cross section between humans and machines.
The line between legal staff and technology staff is blurring: a great point made by Winston & Strawn. This means that vendors must now begin to cater to the end user rather than the IT department. It also means that lawyers need to be continuously learning more about the ever-changing world of technology. The two must meet in the middle.
Technology is a tool for lawyers and with better tools, work becomes more efficient – taking hours rather than weeks. This idea is becoming more and more understood within firms. On the other hand, vendors are increasingly encouraged to understand the evolving needs of end-users, the lawyers on the ground.
